Information clause for research project participant
Pursuant to Article 13 (1) and (2) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) (Official Journal of the EU L of 2016, No. 119, p. 1, as amended) - hereinafter: "RODO". - we inform that:
(1) The administrator of your personal data is Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań with its seat in Poznań at Henryka Wieniawskiego 1, 61-712 Poznań, NIP: 7770006350, REGON: 000001293.
2 The Data Controller has appointed a Data Protection Officer, who can be contacted at e-mail address: iod@amu.edu.pl.
(3) The data controller will process personal data directly from survey participants, in particular: name, mailing address, telephone number, basic socio-demographic data (including: age, gender and other information collected in the geo-survey.
(4) Personal data will be processed for the purpose of conducting a scientific study on thermal comfort carried out under the project "Urban greenery mitigates the effects of urban heat island: a comparative study of Beijing and Warsaw".
5 The legal basis for processing personal data is:
1) Article 6(1)(a) of the RODO and Article 9(2)(a) of the RODO, i.e. consent of the data subject;
2) Article 6(1)(f) of the RODO, i.e. the controller's legitimate interest in the need to process personal data for the purposes of correspondence and the need to establish, investigate or defend against possible claims.
Consent to the processing of personal data may be withdrawn at any time to the extent that it was given, which will not affect the legality of the processing carried out on the basis of consent before its withdrawal, and the processing of personal data after the withdrawal of consent carried out on the legal basis indicated in point. 2 above. Consent may be withdrawn by submitting a statement by e-mail to the project manager's e-mail address or in writing to the address of the project manager's university organizational unit.
(6) Personal data will be retained for the period necessary to fulfill the purpose for which they were collected and for the archiving period in accordance with applicable laws. Upon completion of the study, the data will be pseudonymized. Until then, data that can be used to identify an individual will be recorded separately. They can be combined with details of your personal data only if the purpose of the research requires it.
(7) Personal data will be processed on behalf of the data controller by authorized persons, including participants in the research project "Urban greenery mitigates the effects of urban heat island: a comparative study of Beijing and Warsaw", solely for the purpose mentioned above. Data may be shared with an external entity - a legal or natural person, selected through a public procurement procedure, who will conduct questionnaire interviews.
(8) A study participant whose data is processed, within the scope of the provisions of the RODO, has the right to access his/her data* and to rectify*, delete, limit processing*, as well as the right to data portability, to object to data processing* and to withdraw consent to data processing at any time. The rights indicated above can be exercised by sending a message with the content of the request to the e-mail address: iod@amu.edu.pl. The rights marked with an asterisk (i.e., the right to access, rectify, limit the processing of your data, and the right to object to the processing of your data) are not available - in accordance with Article 469b(1) of the Law of July 20, 2018. Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571, as amended) - if it is likely that the rights set forth in these provisions will prevent or seriously impede the realization of the objectives of scientific research and development, and if these exemptions are necessary for the realization of these objectives.
(9) Notwithstanding the above, the participant in the study also has the right to file a complaint with the supervisory authority - the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection.
10. personal data will not be transferred to a third country or international organization and will not be processed by automated means and will not be subject to profiling, pursuant to Article 22 of the RODO.
